Jeff has been repairing and renovating homes in Central Florida for 10+ years. He’s learned a lot about what works, what doesn’t, and isn’t ashamed to admin he learned a few things the [really] hard way.

Before launching Uncle Fix-It™, Jeff served in the United States Army, traveled the world as a consultant, studied business and management at Rollins College, managed a global professional services team, and worked in senior management at a tech startup.

He’s always enjoyed working with his hands and being of service to others, so when considering his next venture, the choice was obvious.

It all started with a behind-the-toilet shelf like this one.

And just like this one, the baseboards prevented the shelf from sitting flush against the wall. That just wasn’t good enough for me, so I decided I could fix that.

The trim almost completely disintegrated when I tried to pry it off. It didn’t look so bad at first, but moments later the drywall started to fall apart, revealing the true challenge which lay ahead of me.
