All your questions answered in one place!

Almost everything is priced on a per-job basis. You want “X” completed, the price is “Y.” No incremental costs, no nickel-and-dime charges, no combing through receipts or questioning hours. Just clear, simple, and straightforward pricing which prevents surprises along the way… for both of us!

In rare cases, a project may be undertaken on a time-and-materials basis, but those are very rare and constitute only about 2% of the business.

Nope. If the job requires a large special order (like custom window coverings) or large quantities of non-refundable items (like multiple gallons of special paint), you might be asked to cover those costs or purchase them yourself. Otherwise, you pay when the job is done.

Cash, check, Zelle, PayPal, Venmo, CashApp, and all major credit cards. Please be aware that a processing fee will be added to credit card charges, but that fee is less than the cost of acceptance.

One thing will always remain certain: I wouldn’t suggest something or do something to your house I wouldn’t do to my own!

Growing up in an old house, I watched and helped my father renovate almost the entire place from top-to-bottom, inside and out. When we weren’t working on a project, the TV was always showing a home improvement show: This Old House, Home Again, and The New Yankee Workshop made frequent appearances. And yes, even Home Improvement was in the rotation.

When I bought my first house–a 1925 Colonial–it needed a lot of work to restore it’s original charm. I was young and broke, so naturally I did most of it myself. It was daunting, overwhelming, very uncomfortable, and I made a lot of mistakes. In other words, I sympathize with being a homeowner on a budget, not knowing where to start, and facing the discomfort and fear of mistakes. Don’t worry–I’ve been in that dark hole before, and I know the way out!
